Unwanted Gifts

With Christmas out the way we are appealing for donations of any unwanted gifts for the tombola’s that we hold during the year.

Winter Clothes

As the colder, wetter weather is starting to make an appearance can we please ask you to bring in coats, hats, gloves and scarves and wellies for your child (labelled). If you are able to let us keep a set of wellies in our wellie box for outside play this would be extremely helpful as we will be going outside in all weathers.

Extreme Weather

Should we have any extreme weather conditions, it is the policy of Roundabouts Preschool to remain open on snowy days, unless in extreme circumstances where the well being of the children, parent/carers or staff are compromised. The decision to close will be made between 7:15am and 7:45am. Parents are advised to listen to the local radio station and check or the pre-school facebook page for information from the setting.

Parents are welcome to telephone pre-school from 8:45am and if there is no answer from a member of staff should assume we are closed.
Should the pre-school open but the conditions deteriorate during the course of the session we may deem it necessary to close early. We will contact parents to make arrangements to collect their children. If parents do not answer we will work our way down the emergency contact and authorised collection lists. Staff will wait with the children until they are collected.

If Roundabouts is closed there will be no fees to pay for fee paying parents however if we are open and you choose not to send your child you will still have to pay for their session.

Please can you name your child’s lunch bags and boxes together with their drink containers. If you provide grapes please can they be cut length ways.
WE NOW HAVE TWO CHILDREN AT PRE-SCHOOL WITH A NUT ALLERGY. Please can you avoid putting items with nuts/nut products into your child’s lunchbox, this includes chocolate spread e.g. nutella. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Can we remind parents that if children are sick they need to be off pre-school for 48 hours from their last bout of sickness. This is to ensure that it is not passed around the pre-school.

School - September 2015

If you haven’t done so already can you please let a member of staff know what school choices you have put down your child, so we can start to plan our transition timetable for the children.

Post Pockets

Just so you all know children who are 2 have their post pockets round the corner on the way to the office and the 3 and 4 year old children have their post pockets by the front door.

Please remember to check them every time your child is in for newsletters, invoices and artwork.

New Parent Questionnaire September – December 2014

Thank you to the new parents who received and completed a new parent questionnaire. We are reading through your comments and are considering how we can further improve the setting. If you have not returned your questionnaire, can you please take the time to return them as we value your comments.

Take Home Ted

We are going to have to change how we take the photographs for take home ted. Unfortunately using the disposable cameras is not cost effective and the photos are not turning out well. We would like to ask if you take ted home please take some photographs on your phone or tablet and email them into roundabouts and we will print them out for you.

All money raised on your stall will be yours to keep. We are opening this up to parents of Roundabouts first and at the end of January it will be open up to people outside of the pre-school. Bacon baps and hot dogs and refreshments will be available.

If you are interested in booking a space please speak to Sam.
If you do not wish to have a table but have items you would like to donate, we would be happy to sell them on your behalf with the proceeds going to Roundabouts. If you are able to help out during this event please speak to Sam.
